Morgan appeared in a documentary video Safe Sex for Men and Women on AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the profits were given to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is a member of the entertainment industry's AIDS Task Team. She has also spearheaded numerous other fundraising initiatives in the fight against AIDS and testified before the particular Congressional Committee regarding AIDS Education. She is on the board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop's previous assistant surgeon general asked her occasionally to sub for him during AIDS awareness activities. She also was the host of the AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to appear twice on Nightline regarding AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring, she appeared alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began by presenting Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zeerneck and Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams also appeared. The next time she appeared, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psychological thriller which was produced exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the network's history.
